Welcome back to our newsletter.

As Europe Day approaches on 7 May, the political landscape is bustling with activity ahead of the June elections. Amidst this flurry, crucial reports like Enrico Letta's assessment of the European Single Market, released in April, serve as guiding documents as one administration prepares to hand over the reins to the next. However, with expectations of a significant shift in the political landscape, the extent to which Letta's recommendations will be adopted by the new EU cohorts remains to be seen.

In April, our well-attended Spring Networking Reception in Brussels provided a forum for discussions featuring Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice President of the European Commission, alongside policymakers, industry experts, and colleagues. Additionally, an Orgalim delegation participated in the Hannover Messe fair, the premier international platform for industrial technologies.

Now we are moving into May and getting ready for our webinar on PFAS on 15 May, diving into the status of the PFAS restriction proposal and exploring its implications.

Read on for further updates on events and EU policies impacting Europe’s technology companies.
